NCAAT is excited to announce our virtual National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) Week of Action. Our theme this year is United but not a Monolith. While National Voter Registration Day is September 22nd, NCAAT will be celebrating all week long with a plethora of fun virtual events! We are kicking off the week with our Youth Phonebank where there will be a raffle with prizes, hosting an IG Live where we address your questions about Voting, and on October 3rd will have our main event Reclaiming the Asian American Vote: United but not a Monolith Relational Organizing Party! IG Live Cooking and Voter Issues

Join NCAAT for our very first IG live featuring community cooks from across North Carolina as we chat about voting on Sept. 25, 2020. They will be showcasing their favorite cultural dishes and giving out cooking tips. As we learn from our featured home cooks and their dishes, we’ll be dishing on some voting updates and voting registration.

Please join us in discussing issues on the ballot most pressing for AAPIs, addressing voter FAQs, and empowering your own community as a leader and educator! This event is co-sponsored by Asian Focus and the Carolinas Chinese American Civic Center. We’ll also be hosting multiple raffles throughout the event, listen to music, and hold space together. Feel free to bring a treat, snack, or even lunch- it’s a party, after all!
